Removed
Gouges from the HS609PP - Here
is a picture of the HS609PP after the gouges were
removed. The deepest gouge was the one on the far
right. I spent a good bit of time finishing
the HS609PPs, but I want to do it right. You can
see in this picture what I was talking about with
the MDF I got from Home Depot. Notice how clean the
holes are.

Removed
Gouges from the HS609PP - I
borrowed this dial indicator from a machinist at
work (thanks Joe!) so I could check the depth of
the spots were I had to remove material.

Removed
Gouges from the HS609PP - I
set the dial to zero on the flat face of the
HS609PP. The scale on the dial is in 0.001".

Removed
Gouges from the HS609PP - I
slid the HS609PP so the dial indicator was in the
deepest of all the spots where I had to remove material,
the
highest
deflection
I
got
was
0.006"
and none of the others were more than 0.004". Most
were less than 0.002". As per Van's engineering,
anything less than 0.015" is ok.
