work on HS Rear Spar - Clamped the HS411 brackets
around the VA146 bearing and clecoed them
to the rear spar assembly. Match drilled HS411APP
to #30 using HS411BPP as a drill guide. The two holes
in the bottom (as shown in the picture) must be drilled
with the HS411 bracket removed from the rear spar.

work on HS Rear Spar - Here
is a picture of me smoothing the surfaces of one
of the HS609PP support bars to a satin finish with
400 grit sandpaper. I guess Jennifer
focused on the TV instead of me.

More
work on HS Rear Spar - When
working on the support bars I noticed these gouges
that must have been put in the material during milling.
I called Van's about them and Bruce Reynolds told me
not to worry about them since they were not on the
top edges of the support bars. I didn't have a warm
fuzzy feeling about leaving them without Van's seeing
pictures of them, so I e-mailed the pictures to Bruce.
I am
waiting to hear back from Van's.
