Bending Brake for Elevator Skins and Test Fit HS404
& HS405 on HS Front Spar - Went to a local
lumber supply store and got a 10' kiln dried Hem-Fir
2x8 for my bending brake. I cut it in half and hinged
the pieces together with no
space in between.

Fit HS404 & HS405 on HS Front Spar - Clecoed
HS404 and HS405 to the HS front spar to think
a little about how I am going to set the
5/32" rivets in the outermost holes in the
HS405 ribs. The edge distances on the HS405
flanges were less than 2D, so I shot Van's
an e-mail and they said they are fine.
I am going to put a doubler plate on them
anyway to prevent distorting the material
when we set the rivets.
