9/16/06

Drilled the W731 Attach Holes to #11 - I ran a bolt down through W726 into one of the nutplates on W731 and the shank of the bolt as dragging on the hole such that the torque required to install the bolt was excessive. This is caused by construction of the nutplate. The threads on some of them cock the bolt slightly when installed. Thus, I drilled the holes to #11 and tried it again. It was still just a little tight, so I will go to #10 and call it done.

9/22/06

Drilled the W731 Attach Holes to #10 - Drilled all of the W726 holes to #10. I had to drill out the rivets for one nutplate because I snuck the drill bit in just a little too deep and got in the nutplate. I thought the -7 rivets would be more difficult to drill out, but it went fine and you can't even tell I had to drill the rivets out. Now there is enough clearance between the holes and the bolt shank so they don't rub and I can get the torque values correct.
